Purpose of Event System
We are streamlining event management for sites with fewer than 30 events per year. These sites will transition from JEvents to using core Joomla articles with custom fields.
- Past 2 years of events → converted into Joomla articles (if you want us to)
- Older events → exported & emailed to you (full spreadsheet of events attached)
- New “Manage All Events” button → easier event editing
- Flyers → must meet accessibility standards
Why the Change
- Easier to add & update events
- Consistent display across all sites
- Less complexity to maintain
- Accessible & calendar-friendly
